On July 3, Prof. Wang Rui, Fellow of the Academy of Science, Royal Society of Canada and the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, and Dean of Faculty of Science of York University (YU) Visited ZMU with a delegation and had a meeting with President Liu Jianguo and Vice President Gong Qihai. The meeting, with attendants from relevant departments, was held by Ms. Jiang Yi, the director of International Cooperation Dept. of ZMU.

Wang Rui introduced the Faculty of Science and the international programs of YU. Hesaid that YU has been looking for partners around the globe and established collaboration with 15 universities in China, and YU would be glad to have further exchange with ZMU.

In his concluding remarks, Liu Jianguo expressed his cordial welcome to Wang Rui and the delegation from YU.He pointed out that YU had always been a top-level university in the world and ZMU expected to have in-depth exchange with YU.

After the meeting, Wang Rui was invited to give a speech on the important role of hydrogen sulfide in the cardiovascular system at ZMU.
