On February 17, the 2021 and 2022 Annual Awards Conference of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation was held in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. A total of 112 outstanding scientific and technological workers were awarded the Science and Technology Awards of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation in 2021 and 2022. Professor He Zhixu of our university won the 2021 Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Science and Technology Innovation Award -- Regional Innovation Award, which is the first He Liang He Li Ji Gold Award in the medical field of Guizhou Province.

Professor He Zhixu takes root in Guizhou Province, aiming at the international academic forefront, carrying out high-level scientific research work, and promoting significant development of Guizhou's stem cell research and biopharmaceutical new technology industry. He has made significant contributions to Guizhou Province in the fields of stem cell research and application development, innovation of traditional Chinese medicine ethnic medicine technology, and pediatric clinical medicine.

The Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation was founded in 1994 by Hong Kong patriotic financiers Ho Sin Hang, Liang Guiju, He Tian and Lee Quo-wei, aiming at rewarding outstanding Chinese scientists and serving the national modernization. Over the past 29 years, the foundation has selected and awarded 1526 outstanding scientific and technological workers, becoming a successful example of China’s social forces creating scientific and technological awards. It has played a positive role in stimulating the vitality of China’s scientific and technological development and cultivating self-independent innovation talents.
